Dance Teachers
Our 2008 salsa holiday in Spain offers salsa lessons daily by our fantastic team of teachers to include Rohan Brown, Mauricio Reyes, Leon Rose, Miguel Rico & Mayana and Andy Whitt. Covering styles - Cuban, Mambo On2, Rueda, Bachata, Lambada and Tango.
We are able to organise a combination of Private Lessons and Day Intensive

Dance Classes
Dance Classes will be held late morning each day apart from the day we spend in Barcelona. These will cater for all levels and we have arranged for the teachers to rotate so no matter what your level, you have the chance to join lessons from all of the teachers.
There will also be specialist classes available including Styling, Cha Cha, Cuban Salsa, Lambada, Samba, Rumba, Bachata and Rueda. We have organised for some of the teachers to offer individual private lessons, these will be on a first come first serve basis as there are limited spaces – a booking form to pre-book these will be available on confirmation of booking.
For those of you who have never tried Salsa dancing before, this holiday will provide a perfect intensive course. For those advanced dancers that do not usually attend classes, we offer a very varied program with an experienced group of teachers that can offer advise on style and technique.
No lessons are obligatory and you can attend as many or as few as you wish.

Rohan Brown

Teaching On 1 Cuban and Cross Body
Rohan Brown specialises in LA, Cuban, and 3somes. Fluidity, natural body movement, positive mental attitude and having loads of fun is what defines his career. Rohan has been featured on two major television documentaries (Confidence Lab and How Music Works) and has made quite an impression on everyone with whom he works. He is well known for his dance accomplishments worldwide including master of ceromonies, touring South Africa and the USA, performing at various congresses and co-producing salsa holidays in Spain, Cuba and the Caribbean.
Rohan has, embroidered himself in the main fabric of the global movement of salsa entertainment. Definitely someone to spice up your salsa night by personality alone.

Teaching On1 Cuban and Cross Body
Mauricio has been dancing and listening to salsa all of his life and has been teaching salsa dance since the tender age of 17. As a DJ he is guaranteed to read the crowd, spinning a broad range of top salsa, from NY to LA, Colombian to Cuban. SALSA pa' bailar – dura pero sabrosa!
Mauricio has been DJ-ing since 1994, playing and teaching regularly all over the Midlands, the UK and abroad. He is one of only two DJs to play at both UK and British Salsa congresses in 2002 and 2003, and he was awarded 'Top UK Salsa DJ', 'Top Regional Promoters' and 'Services to Salsa' awards at the 2003 congresses.

Corona Salsa Champion 2001, Scala Latina Salsa Champion 2003 and UKA Salsa Champion 2006-2007 are some of his awards and achievements since he started this amazing journey 9 years ago.
MAYANA:
Mayana’s love for dance started at an early age, she followed her heart andwent to study at the Dance Academy where she studied from traditional dances to contemporary. She continue teaching various styles until she found salsa. 2007 Professional UK Salsa Champion. She trained & performed in Duende Dance Company.

Leon Rose

Teaching Mens Shines, Styling, Salsa On1 and On2
Leon was first introduced to salsa in 1997 and has been inspired by many of the great salsa teachers including Robert Charlemagne, Eddie Torres, Edie the Salsa Freak and Nelson Flores.
He is one of the freshest innovators in the international salsa scene. His inspirational style generates enthusiasm and commitment to the art of salsa dancing.He has performed on television and stage from appearances with Enrique Iglesias on Top of the pops to The Royal Albert Hall in aid of the Princess Diana Landmine fund.
As a choreographer and salsa instructor Leon enjoys every aspect of dancing from encouraging the novice to working with the advanced dancer. Leon teaches worldwide from Australia to Morocco. His natural exuberance and salsa spirit is a pleasure to share. |
